Abstract. In a rapidly changing regulatory landscape, ensuring the relevance of information and analytical system databases is becoming critical, particularly in the field of information security. This paper addresses the core challenges in developing software and algorithmic tools for the automated processing and analysis of electronic regulatory documents within information security.
Aim. The study aims to present the development and integration of a software-algorithmic module for updating regulatory documents in the EIAS “Themis”, describing its architecture and performance in improving information security data processing.
Research materials and methods. The core approach involves methods of systems analysis, synthesis, and formalization, combined with the development of algorithmic support for analyzing electronic regulatory documents in information security.
Results. This paper introduces an automated software-algorithmic solution engineered to track, update, and synchronize information security regulatory compliance data within enterprise-level architectures. The developed module has been successfully integrated into the framework of the existing EIAS “Themis”. Its core operational principles are presented, including the parsing of open legal repositories, document version comparison based on the Levenshtein distance algorithm, and administrator interaction upon detecting conflicts. Technical diagrams and Python source code samples are provided to illustrate the functional logic of the module.
Conclusion. The practical relevance of this work stems from reducing the labor-intensive process of keeping the regulatory baseline up-to-date and minimizing risks related to the use of outdated compliance data.
