On the creation of an academic grammar of the modern Karachay-Balkar language

Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of topical issues related to the creation of a new grammar of the modern Karachay-Balkarian language in the native language. It examines the integrating features of the Karachay-Balkar language and its national basis, which is a set of living dialects and dialects involved in the formation and development of the literary language and literary and stylistic norms. The paper analyzes three main aspects of phonetics, the characteristic features of the system of vowels and consonants, and various phonetic phenomena. The section “Morphology” analyzes the main theoretical issues of the morphology of the Karachay-Balkarian language in details, related to the classification of significant and auxiliary parts of speech.
