Abstract<\/strong><\/strong>. <\/em>The article explores the patterns of interaction between digital platforms and platform ecosystems within the context of an emerging innovation economy. It is substantiated that the impact of platform models on innovative development is not unequivocally positive and is determined by the balance between synergistic and limiting effects. In contrast to existing studies that primarily focus on the advantages of the platform economy, this paper proposes a conceptual model of the dual impact of platform ecosystems, capturing both innovation generation processes and factors that constrain their diffusion.
Aim<\/strong>. The objective of this research is to examine the institutional aspects of platform ecosystem governance and determine its influence on the shaping and dynamics of innovation-driven demand.
Results<\/strong>. The research classifies the core synergistic effects generated by platform interaction into network, knowledge-driven, innovative, investment, collaborative, infrastructural, and regional effects. Concurrently, the research categorizes the constraining factors stemming from digital inequality, data aggregation, platform dependency, algorithmic asymmetry, digital market monopolization, and intensifying interregional disparities.
The author\u2019s conceptual model of the platform economy\u2019s aggregate impact has been designed, wherein the net influence of platforms hinges on the trade-off between driving and constraining forces. It is shown that the innovation dynamics of regions depend not so much on the level of digitalization as on the capacity of the regional socio-economic system to transform platform interactions into sustainable innovation processes. The study demonstrates that effective public policy must go beyond merely promoting digitalization; it must actively neutralize the constraining impacts of the platform economy by expanding digital infrastructure, enhancing regulatory frameworks, fostering market competition, and reducing regional digital disparities.
Conclusions<\/strong>. These findings contribute to the theoretical foundations of innovation economics and the platform economy, establishing a methodological groundwork for future studies on digital ecosystems and the design of governance tools for regional innovation dynamics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
