Abstract. The article explores the literary work of the Balkar poet Oyus Khasanovich Uyanov, a figure insufficiently covered in national literary studies. This fact determines the relevance of the
research. The study offers a pioneering literary insight into O. Uyanov’s poetry, thereby establishing an objective and comprehensive picture of his artistic legacy. The paper outlines biographical information and examines the author’s spiritual heritage, which helps to form an integrated literary profile of the artist. Textual observations and conclusions are reinforced with illustrative examples, making the study highly compelling.
Aim. The study aims to define Uyanov’s individual style, his worldview, and the core themes of his lyrics in order to comprehensively characterize the poet’s unique artistic voice.
Materials and methods. The subject matter of this research consists of O. Uyanov’s poetry and epic poems. In order to accomplish the set goal, historical-biographical, literary, typological, comparative, and hermeneutical methods are applied.
Results. Through a textual analysis centered on the idiostyle and the author’s symbolic markerimages, the essential traits of the poet’s unique artistic identity have been revealed. The findings illustrate the original nature of Uyanov’s artistic world, marked by deep reflection, a strong meditative essence, and a dramatic worldview, alongside the key thematic currents that jointly determine his creative persona.
Conclusions. The inseparable bond between the poet’s life and his work imbues O. Uyanov’s poetry with a distinct realism and artistic novelty, which underscore the uniqueness of his creative self-expression.
