Modern demographic and migration processes in the KBR and their impact on the socio-economic development

Abstract: The article analyzes modern demographic and migration processes in the KBR. Based on the data of the official statistics of Rosstat for the KBR for the period from 2010 to 2023, a comparative analysis of the indicators of the natural movement of the republic population was carried out. The article presents an analysis of the results of the author’s sociological study on the migration behavior of the population of the KBR, conducted in 2022–2023, which reflects the motivation of the population of the republic to migration activity. The practical importance of the results obtained in the conducted study is due to the visual information about the demographic and migration attitudes of the population of the republic, which can be used in taking measures to reduce the migration outflow of human capital from Kabardino-Balkaria.
