The journal “News of the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of RAS” is a peer-reviewed, open access scientific publication that publishes the results of recent research in: mathematics and mechanics, computer science, mathematical modeling, information technology and telecommunications, agriculture, economics, and the humanities.

The journal is intended for researchers, educators, graduate students, undergraduate students.

All incoming articles undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process.

Objectives and tasks

The objectives of the journal are to publish high-quality scientific research in specific fields of knowledge, to promote the exchange of scientific knowledge among scientists, including experts from related fields of science and technology, to integrate Russian scientists into the international scientific community, to expand the professional communication space for interdisciplinary dialogue among researchers, and to create a supportive information environment for fundamental and applied research in modern science.

The objectives of the journal – to attract the attention of scientists, including young researchers, to the most relevant and promising areas of scientific inquiry; to provide an opportunity for scientists to publish the results of their work; to facilitate an exchange of ideas and opinions between researchers within the international scientific community; to expand the editorial board and reviewer pool by involving renowned Russian and international experts; to provide full-text accessibility to scientific articles; to organize a rigorous review process to ensure high-quality publications (two-way blind review); to regularly update the journal’s content in accordance with the latest trends in science.

This journal provides free and open access to its content, based on the principle that free access to research contributes to an increased global knowledge exchange.

The free access policy complies with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), which means that articles are available online, allowing all users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, scan for indexing, transfer as data, or use for any other purposes without financial, legal, or technical restrictions, except those necessary to access the Internet itself.

Publication Fee

The journal does not charge authors or their institutions for publishing articles in open access, and also do not charge for reviewing, preparing, printing, or maintaining our website.

The fee for publication in the journal is 500 rubles per 1 A4 page (1.5 spacing, 14 Times New Roman font), which should be formatted in accordance with the journal’s requirements.

Additionally, authors who are affiliated with the KBSC RAS or are members of our editorial board, or are active reviewers are exempt from payment.

Disclosure Policy and Conflicts of Interest

Unpublished data obtained from submitted manuscripts should not be used in personal research without the explicit written consent of the Author.

Information or ideas gained during the review process regarding possible benefits should be treated as confidential and not shared for personal gain.

Reviewers are advised to avoid participating in the review of manuscripts if they have conflicts of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the Authors, companies, or organizations associated with the submitted work.

Borrowing and plagiarism

The journal “News of the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences” conducts a thorough review of all submitted materials (excluding bibliographic references) using an Anti-plagiarism system. The purpose of such analysis is to assess the legality and correctness of borrowings and to assess the volume of the original text

The editorial board is not responsible for the methodology and calculation incorporated into the work at the programming stage of the Antiplagiat system and evaluate only the results obtained.

If any significant instances of plagiarism are detected, the editorial team will follow the COPE guidelines.

Preprint and Postprint Policy

The editorial board of the journal “News of the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences” encourages authors to share their manuscripts as preprints before they are submitted for peer review in the journal, and the board also supports authors in archiving their articles in relevant subject and institutional repositories

Preprints

The editorial board of the journal “News of the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences”  welcomes posting preprints of manuscripts on preprint servers. A preprint, as defined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), is a scientific manuscript that authors post on an open platform (usually before or concurrently with the review process for a journal).

The publication of a preprint is not considered a duplicate publication and does not affect the decision of the editor to publish in the journal “News of the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences”.

Authors should notify the editorial board of ” News of the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences ” of any preprints they have published at the time they submit their manuscript for review, and to include a link to the preprint with the DOI identifier, as well as information on the terms of distribution of the preprint.

The author is responsible for supplementing the preprint record with a link to the published article. The link should include the DOI and the URL of the published version of the article on the journal’s website. Note that the original text of the preprint should not be changed based on comments from reviewers or the editor. The text of the preprint should not be replaced with the text of the published article. The text of the preprint should not be deleted.

 Manuscripts accepted for publication

The editorial board of the “News of the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences” welcomes the independent archiving of manuscripts that have successfully passed the review process and been accepted for publication.

To share this version of the manuscript, authors can use:

a personal website or blog;

an institutional repository;

a subject repository;

direct contact with teachers or students to share this version for personal use.

In the text of the manuscript, the author should clarify the status of the work and provide information about planned publication. For example, the article “Title of the Article” has been reviewed and accepted for publication in No. 2025-2 of the journal “News of the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences”. After the publication of the final version of the manuscript, the author is responsible for supplementing the publication record with a link to the published article. The author should not modify the text based on comments from reviewers or editors. The text of the posted version of the manuscript should not be replaced. Any text of the posted version of the manuscript should not be deleted.

Final versions of manuscripts

The editorial board of the journal “News of the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences” allows independent archiving after they have passed the review process, been accepted for publication, and undergone editorial and publishing processing (proofreading and typesetting).
